I knew about GS on backup vocals on that Heart album. Nice to see video from those sessions. My fave GS are her own exploratory compositions in the Great Society/JA/JS/BVTCN, etc. Every now and then, I dust ‘em off [LOL!] and spin them on webradio Surf City Sounds Plus. Fun is aloud and I like it! Enjoy! :) !

i think this was recorded in january 1985 in san francisco. it was on the air by june 1985 and by june 1986 heart had amassed huge success from the hits on this recording and the many shows to support this recording. it’s music history.

Oh WOW!!! I never knew!!! This is awesome.

i tihnk heart opened for jefferson starship in the mid 1970s?

i would love to have heard then and now what grace thought about ann and vice-versa.

ann wilson is very demure here completely opposite of what’s she was like on stage in the mid 1980s and ann doesn’t seem like a motivated person here which is also not how she really is. she had to be very motivated to make the music and do the shows heart did n the mid 1980s.

I always felt like that was Grace Slick doing backround, but wasn’t sure because her and Ann Wilson sounded
    so much alike back then.

ha I was playing this in my car on the way to work (live in England) and knowing you had Nothin at all lovesheart, was wondering what, what about love would sound like in the studio. LOVE IT

It’s great to see new Heart material added to youtube! Especially the older stuff. Thanks for sharing :) I just added a video I made with the first Heartless that was ever released. The audio track is from the disputed Magazine album and is different from the Heartless that was re-released. I’m grateful to have a copy of this awesome album!

  17. lovesheart Says:

Not sure Suzylux, more than likely a minor flub.I like how light hearted they are, probably pleased with the results and happy its almost a wrap!

  18. suzylux Says:

Also, what was going on there? Did Grace sing ‘love’ by accident and then it just remained on the recording?

  19. suzylux Says:

Wow I never knew Grace Slick helped with the backup vocals (kinda forgot about her!). God, you just wonder who else is in the background of so many hit songs over the years.
This footage is amazing. It’s amazing to see the process of a song which will just live on into eternity, And there they were one day in the studio, creating it for us. Awesome, thanks :)
