amo ah grace slickkk soy fanatico de Jefferson Airplane .Aunque esta epoca de Great Society tambien esta buenaa es mi amor platonico grace ,tengo 22 años saludos.CLAUDIO RODRIGUEZ
I like this version more than the Jefferson Airplane version, and I think the same about White Rabbit. Well, really I think The Great Society is better than Jefferson Airplane. Peace brothers sisters.
I remember as a 7 year old cub scout going to see “No Roses For Michael”. Guy from the D.E.A lectured on the perils of marijuana, then lit up a dish of pot. (So we could smell it!!?) Got to interval the local take away shop was suddenly filled with a troop of ravenous boy scouts – My first attack of the munchies! (lol)
GRACE SLICK doesnt think highly of her singing, but she has the personality of someone who you DON’T wanna mess with!!! even at age 68 , she still remembers all the drug connotations in all those childrens books (Alice In Wonderland is just one of them) and still ‘defends’ them.
not only is GRACE SLICK still alive (She put out her autobiography some years ago) she is 68…but FOR ALL WHO CARE: THE GREAT SOCIETY RECORDINGS ARE AVALIABLE ON A COMP CD I AM NOT KIDDING!!! I HAVE IT!!
Great vintage recording of a rock classic. Though simplistic in this version, the razor sharp voice of the original Queen of rock, Grace Slick cuts through bthe groove. This version was recorded at The Matrix, which is still intact (now as a yuppie bar) on Filmore St. near Lombard , in San Francisco. Grace had an amazing voice and very magnetice stage presence as well. Regretfully, we will probably never hear a new recording from the Grande Dame of rock….. but she is still very vital and creative in her chosen art form of painting. Long live, the Queen. Keep on, Gracie

I hate the bitch voice in the end, from 3:56 and on. Great song though, and the rest of the song is pretty good, too.
